Quality cardiac care should not depend on your sub-county. As part of UHI’s mission to extend specialized medical services nationwide, our medical teams recently conducted a comprehensive outreach drive at Lira Regional Referral Hospital.

Over four days, the team screened over 500 patients, performed diagnostic ultrasounds, and managed complex rheumatic heart disease cases. Local clinicians worked closely with UHI cardiologists to establish follow-up protocols, ensuring patients receive continuous care long after the outreach team returns to Kampala.

Equipping regional centers with specialized knowledge and diagnostic support brings Uganda closer to a future where every citizen, regardless of location, has access to world-class heart care.
